Bruno Pernadas and his ensemble are a Lisbon-based psychedelic jazz and indie-pop project, blending light-hearted melodies and otherworldly arrangements into a sound entirely their own.

Returning in March 2026 with his new album Unlikely, Maybe, the Portuguese composer dives into ’70s aesthetics, spiritual jazz, dub and indie-pop. It marks his first release since 2021’s acclaimed Private Reasons, named by SPIN Magazine among the best albums of the year.

Ambitious and richly orchestrated, Unlikely, Maybe moves between soaring vocals in English and Brazilian Portuguese, vintage synths, warm electric pianos, shimmering guitars and bold brass arrangements. Across nine songs, Pernadas effortlessly brings together progressive pop, spiritual jazz, dub and samba, joined by guest vocalists Margarida Campelo, Lívia Nestrovski and Leonor Arnaut.
