Cristina Branco breathes new life into Portuguese folklore and enriches fado with notes of jazz and world music. With her pure and light voice, the singer from the north of Lisbon, knew how to revive the colors of fado and exhume the Portuguese cultural heritage. Cristina Branco opens her horizons by judiciously slipping in new sounds while also delivering some of her original compositions. Capable of exaltation in pain and in celebration, the artist has put into practice all the palettes of the genre: darkness, introspection, nostalgia (saudade). In 2022 she celebrates her 25th career anniversary and a new album is expected for Autumn 2023.
