Rogê (BR)
Latin Grammy nominated artist, songwriter, composer and musician in his own right, considered to be a principal part of the Brazilian popular music scene revival (MPB), Rogê has released 7 solo albums and 2 collaborations – with samba legend Arlindo Cruz (Na Veia, 2016) and with Seu Jorge (Seu Jorge & Rogê, 2020). Now based in Los Angeles, he released “CURYMAN” via Diamond West Records, with arrangements by Arthur Verocai and produced by the Budos Band’s Thomas Brenneck, a top session guitarist and collaborator with the stars (Lady Gaga, Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse). It is a joyous, celebratory samba album, bringing a message of redemption and resistance, of resilience, according to Rogê, “so that we don’t give in to sadness, to laziness, to a lack of desire to move on with life. It’s the certainty that a new day will dawn.”
