The project of multi-instrumentalist Ahmed Gallab, Sinkane’s music resists classification, blending elements of Afrobeat, funk, jazz, electronic, and Sudanese pop. His latest album, We Belong, is a deeply collaborative work—a “love letter to Black music” that moves through different eras and styles, featuring contributions from artists like Bilal, Ifedayo Gatling, and Casey Benjamin. The album explores themes of community, connection, and identity, reflecting a journey that is both personal and universal.
